staff with a comprehensive trusted
curriculum that incorporates a
well-known textbook in order to
maximize learning. The Worldview
series complements our personalized,
communicative approach, which is
centered on interactive learning and
is student focused. You will find
that every English level is
structured, organized and complete.
o
Program Length of Study: You may begin your English program on any Monday for any
number of weeks.
o
After School and Weekend Language
Seminars and Workshops:
PPIEC offers free after school and
weekend seminars and workshops for
all full time students in all levels
of our English Language
Communication Program. Seminars may
include, Reading and Writing –
Grammar – Pronunciation and Accent
Reduction – Idioms and Slang – Film
and Popular TV – Vocabulary –
Focused Listening – Saturday
Conversation Workshop.
o
Placement:
PPIEC has five language levels from
Introductory to Mastery Level.
Placement depends on your intake
exam upon your arrival on
orientation day. PPIEC uses the
SLEP Test as well as oral intake
interviews.
o
Assessment and Evaluation:
All students will be evaluated on an
ongoing basis and during the
assessment period it will be
determined whether the student is
ready to move ahead to the next
level. Every student learns at
different rates, so we allow
students to be evaluated as they
become ready and their teacher
confirms they are ready.
o
Advancement in Levels:
When a student has successfully
passed their assessment and
evaluation, their certificate is
awarded and they are then promoted
to the next level and they purchase
their new books for that level.
o
Program Hours Per Week:
ELCP
classes are Monday to Friday from
9am to 3pm for a total of 25 hours
per week plus the After School
Seminars Monday to Friday 3-4pm and
Sat 10-12pm for a total of 7 more
